On June 15, 1997, Italy held a seven-question referendum to repeal several laws. The questions covered privatization, conscientious objectors, hunting, the judiciary, and journalists, and whether to abolish the Ministry of Agrarian Politics. Voters approved all seven questions, but turnout was about 30%, well below the 50% threshold, so the results were invalid.
