Roman Vladimirovich Baranov (born 22 July 1976) is a Russian football coach and former forward. He was born in Nizhny Tagil and began his career with the youth team FC Geolog Tyumen. Baranov played for several clubs in the Tyumen region and Kaliningrad, including Stroitel Tyumen, Dynamo-Gazovik-d Tyumen (with a loan spell), Irtysh Tobolsk, FC Tyumen, and Baltika Kaliningrad. In total, he made over 150 league appearances. After retiring as a player, he became a coach and has worked with FC Tyumen’s academy since 2011. He currently works as a children's coach at FC Tyumen.
