Gazmend Oketa (born 14 December 1968 in Durrës District) is an Albanian politician. He served as Deputy Prime Minister from March 12, 2007 to 2008, and as Minister of Defence from March 22, 2008 to September 17, 2009, during the presidency of Bamir Topi and the government of Sali Berisha. He followed Fatmir Mediu as Defence Minister and was succeeded by Arben Imami. In May 2012, he founded the New Democratic Spirit party with other Democratic Party members. Albanian media called it "The Party of the President," referring to Bamir Topi. He has been affiliated with the Democratic Party (2002-2012, 2018-present) and with New Democratic Spirit (2012-2018).
