The 1991 NFL Pro Bowl was the league’s 41st all-star game, honoring the best players from the 1990 season. It was played Sunday, February 3, 1991, at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu, Hawaii, before 50,345 fans. The AFC defeated the NFC 23–21 after Jeff Cross blocked Morten Andersen’s field goal as time expired. The AFC was coached by Art Shell of the Los Angeles Raiders, and the NFC was coached by George Seifert of the San Francisco 49ers. Gordon McCarter refereed the game. MVP was Jim Kelly of the Buffalo Bills. Players on the winning AFC team earned $10,000 each, while NFC players earned $5,000 each. The game was televised in the United States on ESPN, with announcers Mike Patrick, Joe Theismann, and Chris Berman.
