1984 Alcorn State Braves football
The 1984 Alcorn State Braves represented Alcorn State University in the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) during the 1984 NCAA Division I-AA football season. Led by 21st-year head coach Marino Casem, the Braves went 9–1 overall and 7–0 in SWAC play, winning the conference championship. They were also named the black college national champions. Home games were played at Henderson Stadium. Dennis Thomas was the defensive coordinator (fourth season). The Braves reached the NCAA Division I-AA Quarterfinal but lost 21–44 to Louisiana Tech.
