1975 FA Charity Shield

The 1975 FA Charity Shield was the 53rd edition of the annual match between the previous season's league champions and FA Cup winners. It was played on 9 August 1975 at Wembley Stadium in London. Derby County, the 1974–75 First Division champions, faced West Ham United, the 1974–75 FA Cup winners. Derby County won 2–0. Kevin Hector opened the scoring with a low right-footed shot from just outside the penalty area in the 20th minute. Roy McFarland scored Derby's second from two yards out after a corner from the left was headed back into the six-yard box by Francis Lee. Attendance: 59,000.
