Hylogomphus parvidens, the Piedmont clubtail, is a species of clubtail dragonfly in the Gomphidae family. It lives in the southeastern United States.

Taxonomy: Kingdom Animalia; Phylum Arthropoda; Class Insecta; Order Odonata; Infraorder Anisoptera; Family Gomphidae; Genus Hylogomphus; Species Hylogomphus parvidens. The binomial name is Hylogomphus parvidens, described by Currie in 1917. In 2017, Hylogomphus was elevated from subgenus to full genus, so this species is now Hylogomphus parvidens (not Gomphus parvidens).

Conservation: The IUCN lists it as Least Concern (LC), version 3.1, with a stable population; the status was reviewed in 2018. Earlier assessments labeled it as rare (1986–1994) and near threatened (1996) before settling at least concern in 2006 and again in 2017.
