I Can't Wait is Brooke McClymont’s debut solo single. It was released in Australia on 17 June 2002 and recorded there in 2002. The pop-rock song was written by Brooke McClymont, Christopher Ward and Matthew Gerrard, produced by Charles Fisher, and released by Universal. The 3:57 track reached number 49 on the Australian ARIA Singles Chart. The music video, directed by Sam Rebillet, features McClymont with a guitar in various scenes around town.

Hilary Duff also recorded a cover of I Can't Wait for the Lizzie McGuire soundtrack, released on 12 August 2002. Duff’s version is 3:12 and was produced by Matthew Gerrard. A remix of the song appeared on the 2003 Why Not CD single, which had its own video. In 2005, a Japanese version by Chieko Kawabe was included on the Lizzie McGuire Japanese release Brilliance.
