1961 Hale Urban District Council election
Election held on Saturday 13 May 1961. Four of the 12 Hale Urban District Council seats were up for election (one third), with each winner serving a three-year term. The Conservative Party retained overall control, keeping 9 seats to 3 for the Liberals. In this election, Conservatives won 3 of the 4 seats and Liberals won 1. Across all votes, Liberals had more support (903 votes, 60.3%) than Conservatives (595 votes, 39.7%).
