Pedro Henriques

He came through the youth ranks at Belenenses before moving to Benfica at age 15. He made his Primeira Liga debut with Benfica in the 1993-94 season and was part of a league-winning squad. After a six-month loan at Vitória de Setúbal, he became a regular starter in 1997. He briefly joined Porto in 1997, but a knee injury prevented him from playing for the club, and he returned to Setúbal. Internationally, Henriques represented Portugal at youth levels from U16 to U21. He retired in 2005 at age 30 due to ongoing physical problems and later worked as a football pundit for Sport TV.
