Bernie Semes
Bernie Semes (January 29, 1919 – January 30, 2001) was an American football player. Born in Braddock, Pennsylvania, he played college football at Duquesne University as a halfback. In 1944, he played in the NFL for Card-Pitt, a temporary team formed by the Chicago Cardinals and Pittsburgh Steelers because World War II left the leagues short of players.
