1952–53 Yorkshire Cup: The 45th edition of the regional rugby league knockout competition. Sixteen professional Yorkshire clubs took part; there were no junior teams invited, no new entrants, and no withdrawals. The first round was played over two legs (home and away), with eight ties deciding the eight advancing clubs. All subsequent rounds were knockout matches.

Huddersfield won the trophy, beating Batley 18–8 in the final at Headingley, Leeds. About 15,500 spectators attended, and receipts were £2,471. This was Huddersfield’s second appearance in the final in three years, following their 1950 victory.

Scoring in the competition was: try 3 points, goal 2 points, drop goal 2 points.
