Raimundo Martínez
Raimundo Martínez Amar, born on 25 November 1999 in Santiago, Chile, is a Chilean rugby union player. He plays as a number eight for Selknam in the Super Rugby Americas and for the Chile national team.
He grew up in Santiago and played rugby with PWCC. He spent 2019–2020 in the CA Brive academy in France. Returning to Chile, he joined Selknam in the Súper Liga Americana de Rugby, helping the team achieve historic wins against Jaguares XV and reach the league final.
Martínez has represented Chile since 2019 and also played for Chile A in 2020–2021. He was part of Chile’s push to their first Rugby World Cup in 2022, with notable wins over Canada and the United States, securing a spot at the 2023 World Cup.
