Lavinia Valbonesi is the First Lady of Ecuador, a role she has held since November 23, 2023. She is the wife of President Daniel Noboa; they married in August 2021 and have two sons.

She was born Angela Lavinia Valbonesi Acosta on April 8, 1998, in Chone, Ecuador. Her father was Italian and her mother Ecuadorian. She grew up in the Galapagos Islands and studied at Liceo Panamericano. Valbonesi is a nutritionist, businesswoman, and social media influencer. She owns Green Deli, a healthy dining restaurant in Guayaquil, and runs a fitness center in Tampa, Florida.

Valbonesi started posting on social media in 2014, focusing on nutrition and fitness. She has a large following: more than 1 million on Instagram and about 934,000 on TikTok as of April 2025. She became widely known during Noboa’s 2023 campaign, using her platform to connect with younger voters. Her fashion choices, especially wearing white, drew attention, and she even wore a white bulletproof vest at events. Green Deli sold a “First Lady Smoothie” before the run-off election.

Noboa was elected president on October 15, 2023, making Valbonesi the First Lady-designate. She became First Lady when Noboa was inaugurated on November 23, 2023, at age 25, making her Ecuador’s youngest First Lady. One of her early initiatives as First Lady has been to help single mothers. She also received planning permission within two weeks to build on land she owned.

Valbonesi and Noboa met in 2019 when he hired her as his personal nutritionist. They married on August 28, 2021.

In interviews, Valbonesi has discussed how she initially felt uneasy about Noboa’s move into politics but later supported him on the campaign trail.
