Ž.A.S. (Žiertva ant smūgio) is a Lithuanian band from Vilnius. They began in 1993, originally playing gangsta rap and rap metal, and over time tried rock, metal and other styles. Today they mainly make pop and hip hop music.
The group was active from 1993 to 2008, then came back in 2012 and has continued since. In 2012 they released a new single called "Ne kažką." The name Ž.A.S. can be read as one word and sounds a bit like the Russian word for terror or horror.
Current members are Linas Zareckas "Choras," Gidonas Šapiro "Bilas," and Linas Karalius "Ezopas." Former members include Marius Berenis "Tru Sabaka," Tomas Rimkus "Miaso," Marius Petrukaitis, Aleksandras Kudaba, and Laurynas Sadauskas.
Ž.A.S. released music under labels such as Koja, LNK, Muzikinė Partija and Intervid. The band grew out of members of the death metal group Regredior and other musicians.
