Eremothera boothii, known as Booth's evening primrose or Booth's sun-cup, is a wildflower from the western United States and northwestern Mexico, common in dry desert areas. It is an annual plant with hairy reddish-green stems and mottled leaves. The stem ends in a nodding cluster of small flowers that can be white, red, or yellowish, often with darker colors on the outer sides of the four spoon-shaped petals. The flowers have long stamens with yellowish club-shaped anthers. Unlike many related plants, these flowers usually open at dusk. The fruit is a twisted capsule about 1 to 3 centimeters long. The plant varies across subspecies; there are several subspecies.
