Bombardier 3.8
Bombardier 3.8 is a Canadian sailing dinghy first built in 1974 by Bombardier Limited. It is a smaller, lighter development of the 1973 Bombardier Invitation. The fiberglass monohull is 12.47 ft long (3.80 m) with a 4.43 ft beam and displaces 110 lb (50 kg). It has an unstayed catboat rig with a single mainsail of 59 sq ft (5.48 m2). The daggerboard keel gives a draft of 2.60 ft (0.79 m) with it down and 0.33 ft (0.10 m) when retracted, allowing beaching or trailer transport. It has a wooden transom-hung rudder steered by a tiller and no ballast. The Bombardier 3.8 was built in Canada, sold in Sweden as the Triss Racer, and is no longer in production.
