Zhou Wenyong (August 1905 – 6 February 1928) was a Chinese Communist Party revolutionary from Kaiping. He joined the CCP in 1925 and soon became a leader in Guangdong. In October 1927 he and his partner Chen Tiejun went to Guangzhou undercover as a married couple to help plan the Guangzhou Uprising, and Zhou organized about 2,000 CCP cadres for the action. After the uprising failed, they tried to rebuild the party underground but were betrayed, arrested by the Kuomintang, and executed by firing squad at Honghuagang in Guangzhou on 6 February 1928. Before their execution, they were photographed together in prison and said they planned to marry. A memorial was built at the execution site in Guangzhou's Martyrs' Memorial Garden in 1957.
