Zalmplaat is an above-ground Rotterdam Metro station in the Hoogvliet area. It serves lines C and D and has two side platforms and two tracks. The station is owned by RET and is elevated.

Zalmplaat opened on 25 October 1974 when the North-South Line was extended from Slinge to this station. It was the line’s southern terminus until 1985, when the route was extended to De Akkers. In November 2002, after the East-West Line joined the North-South Line, trains on line C also began stopping at Zalmplaat.
