You're Hired is a 2009 Hong Kong TVB modern comedy series. Starring Dayo Wong, Charmaine Sheh, Theresa Lee, Benz Hui, Michael Tse, Power Chan, and Mandy Cho, the show follows Mak Tai Song, a once-successful entrepreneur who tries to help pay off the debt of his mentor’s widow, Sheh Mo Lin, after his mentor’s death. He also agrees to mentor Tong Kat to help his father’s billionaire company, taking wine as payment.

Lam Miu Miu, the debt collector hired by Sheh Mo Lin, chases Song, and their opposite personalities — Lam Miu Miu’s wild spending vs. Song’s laid-back freeloading — lead to many funny moments. The romance between Song and Lam Miu Miu grows, but Song’s sudden changes and schemes against his half-brother Ngon Jo Lin create tension. Song’s long-lost childhood may even change him and distance him from Lam Miu Miu.

The series aired on TVB from August 10 to September 5, 2009, with 20 episodes (22 overseas). The opening theme is “No Problem” by Dayo Wong. It’s in Cantonese (with Mandarin cues) and runs about 45 minutes per episode. Produced by Cheung Kin Man, the show was part of TVB Anniversary Awards in 2009.
