"You Don't Have to Be a Star (To Be in My Show)" is a 1976 R&B/soul song by Marilyn McCoo and Billy Davis Jr., who were formerly members of The 5th Dimension, from the album I Hope We Get to Love in Time. It was written by James Dean and John Glover and produced by Don Davis. The single, backed with "We've Got to Get It On Again," was released by ABC Records.

The song became a crossover hit, reaching No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and Hot Soul Singles charts in late 1976 and early 1977. It also reached No. 6 on the Easy Listening chart and No. 7 in the UK. It sold over a million copies, earning a gold certification, and won the 1977 Grammy Award for Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals.
