Brookville Township, Redwood County, Minnesota
Brookville Township is a rural area in Redwood County, Minnesota. It is one of 26 townships in the county. The township covers 35.8 square miles, all land, and was organized in 1873. There are no cities within Brookville Township.
As of the 2000 census, 258 people lived there, in 94 households and 75 families. The population density was about 7 people per square mile. There were 100 housing units. The community is mostly White (about 99%), with very small numbers of Asian residents and people of two or more races. About 2.7% of residents were Hispanic or Latino.
Households vary, with 35.1% having children under 18 and 74.5% being married couples. About 20% were non-families, and 16% of households were individuals. The average household size was about 2.7 people, and the average family size was about 3.1.
The population’s age distribution ranged from children under 18 (about 30%) to seniors 65 and older (about 14%), with a median age of 42. For every 100 females, there were roughly 106 males.
