Yoker Athletic F.C.
Yoker Athletic Football Club, nicknamed the Whe Ho, are a Scottish team from Clydebank near Glasgow. They were founded in 1886 and play at Holm Park, a council-owned ground shared with Clydebank. Holm Park seats about 1,200 and has floodlights and a synthetic pitch.
The club competes in the West of Scotland League. In 2024–25 they finished 14th of 16 in the Second Division and were relegated to the Third Division. Their colours are royal blue and orange.
Their local rivals are Clydebank; the two clubs shared Holm Park from 2008 to 2018 after Clydebank left their own ground.
Yoker Athletic was promoted to Central Division One in 2011 after an 8–0 win over Newmains United. The club is also mentioned in Scottish literature and TV: James Kelman’s novel A Disaffection features a match at Holm Park, and the club is referenced in Limmy’s Show.
Management has changed over time. The team has been co-managed since January 2019 by Peter McKenna and Tommy Montgomery. Gordon Robertson became manager in 2022 and has since been replaced by Dominic O'Donnell and Paul Brown.
