Yecxy Jarquín
Yecxy Jarquín Ramos, born on 22 May 2000 in Santa Cruz, Costa Rica, is a footballer who plays as a right winger for Santa Cruz PFA. He is 1.62 meters tall.
Career recap:
- He began playing with La Carreta, where his cousin coached him, and soon joined Municipal Liberia after several matchups against the club.
- Jarquín made his professional debut for Municipal Liberia at 17, on 30 July 2017 against Limón F.C., coming on as a substitute in the 64th minute. He became a regular player and appeared in 25 league games in the 2017–18 season.
- On 9 June 2018, he signed a four-year deal with Herediano and made his debut for them on 5 August 2018 in a 3–0 win over Santos de Guápiles. He totalled two appearances for Herediano that year.
- In 2019, he was loaned to Universitarios. His debut was interrupted by a serious injury, and he left the match against Cartaginés after 13 minutes.
- After leaving Universitarios at the end of 2019, he had a spell with Guanacasteca in 2020, before returning to top-flight football with Municipal Grecia in July 2020. He debuted for Grecia on 17 August 2020 against Herediano.
- In July 2021, Jarquín joined Escorpiones. He later moved to Santa Cruz PFA, where he plays today.
International career:
- Jarquín represented Costa Rica at youth levels. He played for the U17 team in 2017 (6 caps, 2 goals) and for the U20 team in 2018 (6 caps). He was called up for the 2018 CONCACAF U-20 Championship.
