Commonwealth Club (Australia)
Commonwealth Club is a private members' club in Canberra, Australian Capital Territory. It was founded in 1954 by Field Marshal K. M. Cariappa. The clubhouse, overlooking Lake Burley Griffin, has been the club’s home since 1965. It is located on Forster Crescent in Yarralumla, between the Russian and Brazilian embassies, and shares a fence with the South African and Pakistani embassies. Membership is by invitation and open to people from any profession or background.
