Gloriosae Dominae
Gloriosae Dominae is an Apostolic Letter written by Pope Benedict XIV and issued on September 27, 1748. In it, he calls the Blessed Virgin Mary "Queen of heaven and earth" and says that the sovereign King has, in some way, shared his ruling power with her. He also praises the Sodality of Our Lady. The letter is quoted in Pope Pius XII's 1954 encyclical Ad Caeli Reginam. It is sometimes called "the Golden Bull" because its seal was made of gold rather than lead.
