Yasnensky District is one of 35 districts in Orenburg Oblast, Russia. It lies in the southeast of the oblast and covers about 3,500 square kilometers. The administrative center is the town of Yasny. However, Yasny is not part of the district; it is a separate entity with the same status as the districts. The district includes 6 rural councils (selsoviets) and 17 rural localities, and its entire population is rural (0% urban, 100% rural). In municipal terms, the district and the Town of Yasny are combined as Yasnensky Urban Okrug. The population was 5,043 in 2010. The district operates in the UTC+5 time zone.
