Irrua Specialist Teaching Hospital
Irrua Specialist Teaching Hospital (ISTH) is a federal government teaching hospital in Irrua, Edo State, Nigeria. It aims to be a center of excellence in teaching, research, and health services for rural and small urban communities. The hospital focuses on managing and controlling viral hemorrhagic fevers, especially Lassa Fever. ISTH was established by decree 92 of 1993 and was formerly known as Otibhor Okae Teaching Hospital. The current Chief Medical Director is Professor Reuben Eifediyi.
ISTH provides trauma and intensive care, elderly care, community services, diagnosis and investigations, medical and surgical care, mental health services, rehabilitation, and other specialized support services. Its goal is to offer affordable, accessible, and high-quality health care for patients.
