Buxton railway station is a small heritage stop in Buxton, New South Wales, on the Picton–Mittagong loop line in the Macarthur region. It opened on 20 October 1893, with a platform added on 4 November 1893. The station and the loop line were closed in 1978, and the original building was destroyed by fire. In the 1990s, the NSW Rail Museum rebuilt the current platform for tourist services. The line is not electrified. Today, heritage steam and diesel trains run to Buxton most weekends, operated by Transport Heritage NSW in partnership with the NSW Rail Museum, from Thirlmere and Picton.
