Xingnan Subdistrict
Xingnan Subdistrict (兴南街道) is a small urban area in the northeast part of Nankai District, Tianjin, China. It covers 1.45 square kilometers and sits about 7 meters above sea level. In 2010, 43,744 people lived there, with a population density of roughly 30,200 people per square kilometer. It borders Gulou Subdistrict to the north, Nanshi and Quanyechang Subdistricts to the east, Wanxing Subdistrict to the south, and Guangkai Subdistrict to the west. Xingnan Subdistrict was created in 1999 from parts of Paotaizhuang and Nanmenxi Subdistricts. The name Xingnan means “Prosper South,” reflecting the aim to make Nankai District prosperous. As of 2021, it consists of 9 residential communities. The postal code is 300100 and the area code is 022. The time zone is China Standard Time (UTC+8).
