1942 All-Pacific Coast football team
The 1942 All-Pacific Coast football team was chosen by two wire services, the Associated Press (AP) and the United Press (UP), for the 1942 college football season. The PCC’s top four teams were UCLA, Washington State, Stanford and USC, each with two players on the first team. UCLA, the PCC champion and No. 13 in the final AP poll, had quarterback Bob Waterfield and guard Jack Lescoulie named to the first team by both AP and UP. Stanford, No. 12 in the final AP poll, had guard Chuck Taylor and tackle Ed Stamm named to the first team by both AP and UP. Three players from schools outside the PCC earned AP first-team honors: halfback Jesse Freitas and end Alyn Beals of Santa Clara, and tackle John Sanchez of the San Francisco Dons. AP = Associated Press; UP = United Press.
