Women's Boat Race 1939
8th Women's Boat Race — 11 March 1939. Oxford won by five lengths in 4 minutes 59.4 seconds. The race was on a 0.75-mile (1.21 km) stretch of the River Thames between Medley Bridge and Godstow on the Upper Thames. The win gives Oxford a series lead of 6–2. The first race was held in 1927 on The Isis.
