Winnersh Film Studios
Winnersh Film Studios is a film studio in Winnersh, Berkshire, England, located at 1020 Eskdale Road, about 6.4 kilometres from central Reading. It was operated by SCIO Capital.
The project came from Stage Fifty, a company that builds quick-to-use, high-spec sound stages. The goal was to create a new “creative-quarter” at Winnersh Triangle Business Park with up to six sound stages.
In March 2022, Wokingham Borough Council granted temporary planning permission for two sound stages and eight workshops for five years to meet immediate demand. Permanent permission was granted in January 2024 for those stages plus a third, larger stage. The site was seen as advantageous due to its proximity to the M4, a railway station, and nearby studios such as Shinfield and Arborfield.
In April 2024, Winnersh Film Studios and Stage Fifty went into administration due to cash-flow problems linked to the 2023 Hollywood strikes, and the studio ceased operations. In April 2025, plans to demolish the buildings were approved so the site could be redeveloped for other business use. Winnersh Film Studios Ltd was dissolved in July 2025.
In September 2025, European investor SCIO Capital announced a 30-year lease for the site and plans to relaunch the studios on a smaller footprint under the new name Parkside Studios Winnersh.
