William Lalnunfela

William Lalnunfela (born 6 July 1995) is an Indian footballer who plays as a forward for Kerala United in the I-League 3. He was born in Kolasib, Mizoram, and started playing football at age 12, beginning as a goalkeeper before switching to a striker.

As a youth, he played for Pui Pui and Vengthar VC. He was spotted by the Pune Academy, where he became the top scorer in the 2013 I-League U20 and helped the academy win the title in two straight seasons.

After leaving Pune, Lalnunfela joined Chanmari in Mizoram and represented Mizoram in the Santosh Trophy in 2014 and 2015, helping the state win gold at the 2015 National Games.

His strong performances earned him a move to Aizawl FC in 2015. He played in the I-League 2nd Division as Aizawl earned promotion to the I-League. He made his professional I-League debut on 28 February 2016 against Bengaluru FC, coming on as a halftime substitute.

Lalnunfela became part of Aizawl’s famous 2016-17 title-winning team, known for his pace and versatility in attack. In 2018 he joined Mohun Bagan, playing 12 league games and scoring twice with one assist.

He returned to Aizawl for the 2019-20 season, making 12 appearances and scoring 2 goals. On 13 September 2020 he signed a three-year contract with Jamshedpur FC. On 11 September 2021 he joined NorthEast United for the 2021-22 season. He later played for Rajasthan United before moving to Kerala United in 2023, where he has continued to add appearances and goals.
