Whig and Tory
Whig and Tory is a comedy play from 1720 by British writer and actor Benjamin Griffin. It premiered on 26 January 1720 at Lincoln's Inn Fields Theatre in London. Griffin also starred as Sir John Indolent, with Mrs Gulick as Charlotte. John Harper played Sir Roland Heartfree; Christopher Bullock was Ned Indolent; Lacy Ryan played Reynard; and William Bullock played Coblecause. The play was revived at Drury Lane Theatre in 1729.
