Please Take My Brother Away!
Please Take My Brother Away! is a Chinese web manhua by You.Ling about two siblings: a violent younger sister, Shi Miao, and her older brother, Shi Fen. It was turned into a Japanese short anime in 2017 by Fanworks and Imagineer, with both Japanese and Mandarin voices, and aired on Tokyo MX. The series has more seasons: season 2 in 2018, season 3 in 2019, season 4 in 2020, and season 5 in 2022. A Chinese TV drama called Take My Brother Away and a film named Go Brother! were released in 2018. The web manhua is published by Kuaikan Manhua and has been read online more than 500 million times in China; two compilations were published by the China Friendship Publishing Company.
The anime is a series of short episodes. The first season has 12 episodes, each 3–4 minutes long, and aired from April 7 to June 23, 2017, on Tokyo MX, with a Chinese broadcast in March. The opening song is Sunny Side Up by Brian the Sun. Rareko directed and wrote the scripts for Imagineer and Fanworks, and Tencent Penguin Pictures planned the project. The second season has 24 episodes and ran from July 9 to December 17, 2018, with the opening song Let Him Go!! by Youkemao. The third season has 12 episodes from October 7 to December 23, 2019, with the opening Progressive Youth by Wang Yue. A Netflix live-action version titled Take My Brother Away was released in 2018.
