Don Quixote is a 2010 fantasy movie directed by Ah Gan. It’s a Chinese–Hong Kong co‑production inspired by Miguel de Cervantes’ novel and stars Guo Tao, Wang Gang, and Karena Lam. The film runs 106 minutes and is in Mandarin.

The project was promoted as China’s first fully 3‑D movie. About 60% of the film uses special effects, and Ah Gan worked with effects teams in England, using technology from the Ice Age films. While it was marketed as fully 3‑D, another 3‑D project in China (True Legend) only had 3‑D in its action scenes.

Don Quixote was released in China on October 15, 2010, and in Hong Kong on October 28, 2010. In its first week in China, it earned about $1.81 million and was the third-highest earner there. Its total China gross was about $5.12 million, and in Hong Kong it earned around $16,000.

Critic Derek Elley of Film Business Asia gave the film 5 out of 10, noting that after about half an hour it moves away from the novel and loses dramatic momentum.
