Whelan Camp
Whelan Camp is a historic Adirondack Great Camp and National Historic District on Raquette Lake in Long Lake, Hamilton County, New York. Built between 1915 and 1918, it features Shingle Style and Adirondack Rustic architecture. The district covers about 6.7 acres and includes a large main camp plus five supporting buildings: the Main Lodge, Garcon Lodge, Power House, workshop, and a lean-to. The Main Lodge, Garcon Lodge, Power House, and workshop are the contributing buildings, with the lean-to as a contributing structure. Whelan Camp was added to the National Register of Historic Places on December 21, 1989.
