The Final Nexus is a 1988 science fiction novel by American author Gene DeWeese. It’s part of the Star Trek: The Original Series books and is the sequel to Chain of Attack.
Plot
The Enterprise’s warp gates, used to travel across the universe, are malfunctioning. To fix them, Captain Kirk and the crew must communicate with beings from different worlds and even other universes.
Publication and series
It was published in December 1988 by Pocket Books in the United States as a 282-page paperback. It is preceded by Memory Prime and followed by Vulcan’s Glory.
Reception
The book reached #12 on the New York Times bestseller list on December 11, 1988.
