1894 Idaho gubernatorial election
The 1894 Idaho gubernatorial election took place on November 6, 1894. The incumbent Republican William J. McConnell won re-election, defeating James W. Ballantine of the People's Party and Edward A. Stevenson of the Democratic Party. McConnell received 41.51% of the vote (10,208), Ballantine 28.96% (7,121), and Stevenson 28.70% (7,057). McConnell remained governor after the election, continuing as a Republican.
