Whakamoke orongorongo
Whakamoke orongorongo is a small spider found only in New Zealand. It belongs to the family Malkaridae and was described in 2020 by Gustavo Hormiga and Nikolaj Scharff. The holotype specimen is kept at Te Papa Museum in Wellington. Males are about 4.9–5.2 millimeters long, while females are about 5.9–6.0 millimeters. The spider has a dark red-brown carapace, red-brown legs, and a whitish-brown abdomen. It is only known from the Wellington region of New Zealand. Under the New Zealand Threat Classification System, it is listed as Not Threatened.
