Hermann Bischoff
Hermann Bischoff (7 January 1868 – 25 January 1936) was a German composer of classical music. He was born in Duisburg and died in Berlin. After leaving Leipzig to continue his music studies, he met Richard Strauss and joined his circle. Bischoff wrote at least two symphonies. These works, along with his 1926 Introduction und Rondo, have been recorded by Classic Produktion Osnabrück. His first symphony, dedicated to Strauss, was performed in Essen on 24 May 1906 at the 42nd Tonkünstler-Festival, the same festival where Mahler's Sixth Symphony premiered.
