Robert Dowd (born 26 May 1988) is an English professional ice hockey forward who plays for the Sheffield Steelers in the EIHL. He shoots right, is 5 ft 10 in tall and weighs 174 lb. He has also played for the Sheffield Scimitars, Belfast Giants, IF Troja/Ljungby in Sweden, Billingham Bombers, and HC Eppan Pirates in Italy.

Dowd has won six EIHL championships: five with Sheffield (2009, 2011, 2015, 2016, 2024) and one with Belfast (2012). He was the top British point scorer in 2012 with 72 points and was named British Player of the Year. He also plays for the Great Britain national team.

Key career notes: In 2012 he signed with IF Troja/Ljungby in Sweden’s HockeyAllsvenskan. He returned to the Sheffield Steelers for the 2013–14 season. In 2020, during the COVID-19 disruption, he briefly played for HC Eppan Pirates in Italy while Sheffield extended his contract. He captained the Steelers in the 2023–24 season and was named captain for Great Britain later that season. On 19 October 2024, he scored his 740th career point, making him the EIHL’s all-time leading point-scorer.
