Warrensburg-Latham Community Unit District 11
Warrensburg-Latham Community Unit District 11 is a school district in central Illinois that serves the villages of Warrensburg and Latham, parts of northwest Decatur, Forsyth, and surrounding countryside. The two towns’ schools share a campus on the northwest edge of Warrensburg. Latham’s former mascot was the Rabbits, and Warrensburg’s elementary/middle schools were the Rebels. After the merger, the Rebels name stayed until 1995, when a student vote changed the mascot to the Cardinals due to concerns about the Confederate flag. The high school has always used the Cardinals. Notable alumni include Stephen Mason of Jars of Clay and Hall of Fame jockey John L. Rotz, who won two Triple Crown races. Illinois Route 121 runs through Warrensburg and Latham, northwest of Decatur.
