Manmasi National Christian Army (MNCA) is described as a Christian extremist group in North East India. In 2009, about 15 MNCA members were charged with trying to force Hindus to convert at gunpoint. Some Hmar youths were accused of going to Bhuvan Hill, a Hindu village, armed with guns to pressure residents to convert, and they allegedly painted crosses on temple walls with their blood. Sonai police and the 5th Assam Rifles arrested 13 MNCA members, including their commander-in-chief, and seized guns and ammunition.
