Voodoo Envy
Voodoo Envy 133 was a light, portable notebook developed by VoodooPC after HP bought the company. It debuted at HP’s Connecting Your World Live event in Berlin on June 10, 2008 and was marketed as an ultraportable. The chassis was carbon fiber, weighing about 1.7 kg (3.75 lb) and about 1.8 cm (0.71 in) thick. It ran Windows Vista and also offered a lightweight Linux option called Voodoo IOS (Voodoo Instant On). Its CPU was an Intel Core 2 Duo at 1.6 or 1.8 GHz, and it came with a 3-cell battery rated for up to around 3 hours and 10 minutes of use. HP claimed it was the world’s thinnest notebook at roughly 0.71 inches, though later devices like the Dell Adamo were thinner at about 0.65 inches. The Envy 133 launched in June 2008 at a price of $2,099 and was discontinued on October 15, 2009. After HP merged with VoodooPC, the Envy line replaced the Voodoo Envy.
