Vladimir Markotić
Vladimir Markotić (born June 17, 1980) is a retired Bosnian Croat football goalkeeper. He was born in Čitluk, then part of SFR Yugoslavia, and is 1.91 meters tall. He began his professional career in 2003 with NK Brotnjo in the First League of Herzeg-Bosnia. He then played for FK Željezničar Sarajevo (2004–2005), NK Zagreb (2005–2007), and NK Posušje (2007–2009). In 2010 he moved to Canada to play in the Canadian Soccer League for Brantford Galaxy (2010–2011) and later London City (2012–2015). Markotić competed in the Premier League of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Croatian First Football League, the Second League of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the Canadian Soccer League. In 2013, London City reached the playoffs for the first time since 2000, with Markotić helping the team reach the semifinals after a quarterfinal win over York Region Shooters; they were then eliminated by Kingston FC 4–2.
