1987 Army Cadets football team
The 1987 Army Cadets football team represented the United States Military Academy in the 1987 NCAA Division I-A season. They played as an independent and finished with a 5–6 record, scoring 277 points and allowing 223. Jim Young was the head coach in his fifth year. The offense used a triple option, and defensive coordinator Bob Sutton, in his fifth year, ran a 4–3 base defense. Team captains were Dave Berdan and Tory Crawford. Home games were played at Michie Stadium in West Point, with additional games at Falcon Stadium in Colorado Springs and Veterans Stadium in Philadelphia. In the Army–Navy Game, Army defeated Navy 17–3, taking a 17–0 halftime lead behind quarterback Tory Crawford, who rushed for 128 yards and three touchdowns.
