Subramaniam Siva is an Indian film director and actor in Tamil cinema. He was born in Tamil Nadu and has been active since 2003. He debuted as a director with Thiruda Thirudi (2003), a romantic comedy starring Dhanush and Chaya Singh. Due to its success, he remade it in Telugu as Donga Dongadi (2004). He then directed Pori (2007) with Jiiva. In 2009, he directed Yogi, which was his debut as an actor and took two years to complete. His fifth directorial film was Seedan (2011), a remake of the Malayalam film Nandanam (2002); it starred Unni Mukundan and Ananya, with Dhanush making a guest appearance. He contributed to the post-production of Velaiilla Pattadhari (2014) and wrote dialogues for Amma Kanakku (2016). He returned to directing with Vellai Yaanai (2021), featuring Samuthirakani, Athmiya Rajan, and Yogi Babu, and the film released live on Sun TV. As an actor, he appeared in Vada Chennai (2018) and Asuran (2019), both directed by Vetrimaaran and led by Dhanush. In 2021, he played a supporting role in Writer.
