Vexillum aureolatum, commonly known as the golden mitre, is a small sea snail in the ribbed miters family (Costellariidae). The shell length ranges from about 8 to 29 millimeters. It is typically orange-brown with a small white band near the top, and sometimes has one or more thin white bands below the suture or at the base. This species lives in the Red Sea and the Indian Ocean around Madagascar and Mauritius, and across the tropical Indo-Pacific from the Gulf of Oman to Polynesia, Fiji, and Hawaii.
